It's good to have high expectations.

But thinking too highly of something may not be good.

Yet, thinking too little of something may also not be good.

Depending upon what that something is.

Mediocrity is sometimes the right path.

But, what do we find along that path?

Does the thick underbrush overcome our path, and make it difficult to see the path.

Do the thorns extend out over the path, and attempt to snag us?

Do serpents slither out from under their cover, into the path ...and attempt to poison us?

We may think we want something of everything out of life ...a little here and a little there.

But, we seldom want the bad.

And if we don't want it for ourselves, then we shouldn't want it for others either.

Overall, what do we want most of?

And if we want it for ourselves, do we want everyone to have it?

A sharing, or redistribution of wealth ...is called charity.

When not freely or voluntarily asked to do it, it seldom is sincere ...and creates a deception.

Communism begins with telling a rather angry, hurting or naive people ...that they will be provided with tools that will improve their standing in life.

Those tools may be an actual tool in hand by government work projects, or it could be government handouts.

Those things may seem to suffice for a time.

All in all, it is an ideology that provides hope by putting the trust in a few that can more readily control you with relative ease ...if they want to.  And eventually, down the path ...they want to.

Some of us can handle situations that others can't.

Throughout the years, we've read of many people in Hollywood who've allowed their lives to disintegrate ...because they could not handle some aspect of what is associated with fame.

The peer pressure gets to some of us.

The thirst for power and position consumes some of us.

The world offers many distractions that entreat us to wander off the path.

We hear of shortcuts, scenic views, and popular destinations along the way ...but they don't necessarily help us with the destination we hope to someday reach.

God knows what we can handle, and what we can't.

Yet, we still have confusion as to the events in our lives that don't seem to fit what we feel we believe.

We don't understand why some seem to suffer more than others.

But, I also don't know why some of the biggest smiles I've ever seen ...have come from those who have the least.

Some people willingly enter circumstances, in spite of the fact that it could cost their life ...and they are willing to give their lives to help save others.

Others devalue their life because of circumstances ...and claim their life is not worth much.  It has much to do with the zest for life.

When the West was first being settled, families risked their lives to obtain opportunities that they believed would bring them healthy living, however difficult it may be.  Today, we have many unhealthy opportunities ...and the hard thing is often avoided, and lives are carelessly put at risk for the demand of certain freedoms which enslave us.  We often even demand the right to destroy ourselves ...irregardless of how it also may affect others.

President Kennedy said, "Ask not what your country can do for you, rather ask what you can do for your country."

We can ask what we can do for others, rather than ask what others can do for us.

But, it's like that saying, "It's better to give than receive ...so, you give (to me)."

Yet, if we all had the same attitude of being happy for others, we would more often gratefully saying thanks, but no thanks. We wouldn't want to take from others.

Of course, we shouldn't be so prideful that we don't accept any gifts or charity ...being stubborn to the extreme. But, on occasion I've seen people protesting ...almost demanding to be given more, when many of them had things that I don't have.

Like I said before, it seems that many who have what others around the world don't have ...are the ones who protest all the more.

Many of us want sympathy, instead of symphony.

Again, what is it that we want the most of?

What I desire for myself, and my entire family ...is what I want for everyone to have.  I don't want a redistribution of wealth ...I'd like an equal distribution without a redistribution.

But, you'd say that is impossible when dealing with limited resources.

Well, I'm not talking about the finite. I'm talking about the infinite wealth of blessings we have waiting for us in Heaven.   Jesus walked the earth, having no set place to rest His head ...and the disciples had very little, having given up what little they had to follow Him.  But, what He has to offer is salvation ...and to live in eternal peace and health with Him after our short stay here on earth.

Get back that big smile!!!
